Todd is Odd at ghosts | horizon cabaret
Collaborated with a Chicago musician, Sydney Kramer, on a crankie piece about an odd sock named Todd.
This project was an amazing way to meet some musicians from the Chicago community. For some reason, I couldn’t get “sock” out of my head and together with Sydney we made an adorable piece following our hero, Todd the odd sock.
Two Birds One Scone with Malarkey Comedy
Co-created and performed in an improvised puppet show for children where the audience gets to accessorize the protagonist puppet and help build world and story for each show.
My friend/roommate/fellow improviser and I realized there was a gap in the Chicago improv scene for shows for youngsters. We co-created, co-produced, and performed in this show complete with puppets fabricated by me alongside other improvisers in Chicago.
The Eugene O’Neill Puppetry Conference
Summer 2022: Performed in a full length original puppet show The Howdy Doo Show Part Duh! and collaborated on short puppetry pieces.
Summer 2024: Helped to develop an original puppet rave (CAT RAVE) and collaborated on short puppetry pieces.
Over the course of these 10 day conferences, I got in-depth time to work with other puppeteers and artists from around the world to develop and contribute puppetry pieces.
Waste of Space at UCLA
Senior Capstone Project: YouTube mini-series that follows a pigeon who has moved to the big city.
For my Senior Capstone project, I opted to create a YouTube miniseries featuring puppets fabricated by me, voiced by my college improv team, and puppeteered by my fellow Bruins. I hope you enjoy :)
